Procedure In Case Of Faults And Problems
Is your stair lift not working as it should? In many cases, you can solve the problem yourself in no time . Below you will find an overview of the most common faults and information on how to fix them.

Lift doesn’t start.
Check that the stairlift is switched on. Also check the main switch, key switch and armrest switch. Some models have a seat contact switch and only move when there is a load or only respond to the remote control (with the seat folded up).
Lift only runs in sections.
If you have to switch the stairlift on and off to keep it running, the battery is probably discharged. Please park the stairlift in its charging position for at least two hours.
Lift moves up or down by itself.
Please check whether the drive button on the armrest or the buttons on the remote controls are jammed and are giving a permanent drive signal. If you cannot release the lock without using force, it is best to call a service employee who can professionally fix the problem for you.
Lift only goes in one direction.
Is there perhaps an obstacle on the stairs? Test whether the safety switches can move freely or are jammed by gently shaking them. They are located behind the covers on the side of the motor, around the rail and under the footboard. Remove the obstacle and check the function of the stairlift again.
Lift beeps in the charging station.
Please check the power supply by unplugging the lift and testing the same socket with another device (such as a hair dryer). If you have problems with the power supply, it is best to contact an electrician or technician. In this case, repairing the home lift is not necessary.
Elevator makes unusual noises.
Unusual driving noises can occur. If no oil is leaking from the motor, they are usually not a problem. If the stairlift is installed on a wooden staircase, creaking or rumbling noises can occur due to weather or temperature changes and the resulting pressure difference between the staircase and your lift. Please observe the phenomenon for around 14 days and let us know if the noises do not disappear.
The automatic footboard of the stair lift no longer works.
Please put the seat and the footboard in the same position (folded up or down). Now turn off the main switch on your lift. Wait about ten seconds and then turn the main switch back on. If the footboard still does not work, please contact our customer service.
The stair lift is dirty or the paint is peeling off.
It can happen again and again that dust and other dirt is pressed through the rollers on the lift onto the rail, making it appear as if scratches have formed or the paint is chipping off. Please use glass cleaner and a cloth or sponge and rub the rail with it. Let the stair lift go up and down once and then clean the rail again. Dry the rail and the dirt or suspected scratches will usually disappear. If not, please call our service number or write us a message. Ordinary upholstery cleaning products are suitable for cleaning the fabric covers of your stair lift. The best way to clean the surface of your stair lift or platform lift is with warm water and a little all-purpose cleaner .
The power goes out while the stairlift is in motion.
A power failure while using the stair lift is no reason to worry. Our lifts have batteries and run on direct current. This ensures that you will get to the next stop safely, even in the event of a power failure.
Dismantling or removal of Your Stairlift
